Goals

Identify and advocate for the needs of Hispanics in Howard County through outreach activities in partnership with service organizations and agencies dealing with health, housing, social services, education, employment, media and other services.

To partner with county agencies to provide greater access to existing services through implementation of interpreter services, translations and culturally sensitive programs, including health, hospital, police, and courts.

To identify and collaborate with existing programs and develop new programs directed to the adult education and literacy needs within the Hispanic community, including English as a Second Language classes.

To develop and implement leadership programs and identify opportunities for leadership positions for Hispanics within Howard County within service organizations and agencies.
